Barrister Inyang Otoabasi Richard is a distinguished Nigerian legal practitioner with over ten years of post-call experience, providing legal services across Nigeria and the West African sub-region. He was called to the Nigerian Bar by the Supreme Court of Nigeria and has since built a strong reputation at the intersection of corporate law, regulatory compliance, commercial transactions and litigation.

He commenced his professional journey at the Nigerian Law School, Yenagoa Campus, where during his compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme in 2017/2018, he served as an Adjunct Assistant Lecturer in Corporate and Criminal Law, demonstrating early commitment to legal scholarship and professional development.

Following his call to the Bar, Barrister Richard joined Alamesia Ovie Atana & Co., a litigation-focused law firm in Bayelsa State, where he gained foundational courtroom and dispute resolution experience. Driven by a strong interest in corporate practice and investment law, he subsequently relocated to Abuja in 2019 to join O. J. Aboje & Associates, a reputable corporate and commercial law firm with deep expertise in company acquisitions, mergers, corporate governance and regulatory compliance. He practiced with the firm for over five years, advising corporate clients on complex transactional and compliance matters.

To further broaden his practical exposure, he later joined Kingsley Bernards Legal Practitioners, a litigation firm, where he handled disputes arising from corporate, property and commercial transactions. This combination of transactional depth and litigation insight has positioned him as a well-rounded adviser capable of anticipating, structuring and resolving legal risks across the investment lifecycle.
