Ruth Aguele
Ruth Aguele is an award-winning newscaster and media professional with over 16 years of distinguished experience in broadcast journalism and public affairs. She is a Humanitarian Correspondent, Producer, and Presenter with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Nigeria’s foremost public broadcaster.
She is the Producer and Presenter of NTA’s flagship programme, Platform—a nationally respected current affairs show that interrogates pressing national issues through in-depth interviews with senior government officials, policymakers, and captains of industry. Through this platform, Ruth has contributed significantly to public discourse, accountability, and informed citizenship.
A seasoned and versatile compere and moderator, Ruth has anchored and moderated high-level national and international events, including engagements for the Presidency, the United Nations, and other reputable institutions. Her ability to combine insight, professionalism, and audience engagement has positioned her as a trusted host for A-list and policy-driven forums.
Beyond broadcasting, Ruth is a multifaceted media practitioner—a scriptwriter, documentary producer, editor, and content developer. She is deeply committed to capacity building and mentorship, actively coaching young journalists and public speaking aspirants. Through her mentorship work, she equips emerging professionals with practical skills in public speaking, broadcasting, scriptwriting, voice-overs, and media presence.
In recognition of her impact, Ruth was honoured by her alma mater, Nasarawa State University, Keffi, with the Distinguished Leadership Award in Media and Public Affairs, celebrating her outstanding contributions to the profession.
She was recently appointed Ambassador for Nutrition Food Crops Media by Green Economy Alternative Nigeria/Africa, further reinforcing her role at the intersection of media, development, and advocacy.
Ruth Aguele is also the author of the Christian book “Purpose Is Not Safety”—a compelling work that challenges readers to align their life purpose with God’s will, particularly speaking to individuals navigating life without clarity or intentional direction.
