Borja Cortés Martínez
Borja Cortés Martínez is Project Director and Country Editor at The Business Year and an economic journalist focused on emerging markets. He holds an MSc in Geopolitics and Diplomacy from Grenoble and has completed humanitarian training with Bioforce in Lyon, alongside certification as a Capacity Building Coach from Learning & Helping Barcelona. He is also a university graduate in Sport for Development and Peace from UFV Madrid.
Borja combines on-the-ground experience with strategic analysis, having worked across Africa, the Middle East, and Europe, including South Africa, Namibia, Zambia, Tanzania, Kenya, Guinea-Bissau, Morocco, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE, Oman, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mozambique, France, Italy, and Spain. His work centers on analyzing emerging economies to better understand the forces shaping global cohesion, social stability, and economic opportunity.
